for those who "grew up in the borg"
by zev inat this late, middle stage of my life, i've started wondering, now that i know what i know, about the things in my life that i "lived" with.
having been raised all my life in the "borg" i have known nothing else.
when questions began forming years ago, it started me thinking.

When I Was In WT I Had It So Bad......

ex.. when i was a child we had to sit for fourteen hour assembly days in the hot sun without fans because they were not allowed for the other sheep.
we had to take shorthand of every word written in the talks and review our notes for two hours after the convention was over.

i thought for them it would be nice to list some similarities between the two organizations.. btw, amway has a new line of business, they're calling it quixtar.

The Rainbow as a sign to Noah

the bible tells us that it rained for forty days and forty nights.. it stopped raining and noah & co floated around for a bit.. when they landed, noah sacrificed some of the animals (weren't they in short supply?
) and god promised never to bring a deluge upon then earth again.. to back this up, there was a rainbow in the sky as a sign.. now, what causes a rainbow?

My MUm and sis have signed up with MARY KAY makeup.
I went to a meeting to have my face done,and its probably the same as Amway.
The people their were so nice that I nearly signed!
They started talking of the parties they would be having,dinners out etc.
HHmmm I thought could leave my man at home and go party with excuse to make money!The woman taking the meeting was a bit of an old bag.
She gave people incentives to get so many aptments etc,and told Mum she has to have an apt in the next 7days.If Mum doesnt achieve this it will be embarrassing as the woman will ask in front of everyone.on second thoughts some of them seemed quite fake.I prefer genuine people who dont have to always 'say the right thing'
God knows I dont!!!!Does anyone here do Mary Kay??
It is nice stuff and I will probably buy some.But I get the pyramid selling =wbts deal
